Introduction

MyTask is designed with privacy as a core principle. This application is offline-first and stores your task data locally on your Android device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your task information.

Information Stored

Depending on how you use the app, MyTask may store:

• Task titles
• Task descriptions
• Images you attach
• Documents you attach
• Audio recordings you create
• Reminder dates and times
• Application preferences

This information is stored locally on your device.

Permissions

Camera

Used only when you choose to capture an image for a task.

Microphone

Used for recording audio notes and speech-to-text features.

Notifications

Used to display reminder notifications that you schedule.

Exact Alarms

Used to trigger reminders at the precise time you selected.

Boot Completed

Used to restore scheduled reminders after restarting your device.

Speech Recognition

MyTask uses Android's built-in speech recognition service.

Depending on your device and its configuration, speech recognition may be performed entirely on-device or by the speech recognition provider configured on your Android device.

MyTask does not operate a speech recognition service and does not receive or store your spoken audio on developer-operated servers.

OCR Text Extraction

MyTask includes an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature that extracts text from images.

Text recognition is performed entirely on your device using a bundled machine learning model. No images or extracted text are sent to external servers.

QR Calendar Sharing

MyTask can generate QR codes containing a standard vCalendar event.

When scanned using a compatible application, the receiving device may display an event preview that the user can choose to save to their calendar.

MyTask does not access, read, or modify your calendar directly.

Internet & Third-Party Services

The current version of MyTask does not request the Android INTERNET permission.

MyTask does not use:

• Firebase
• Analytics services
• Advertising SDKs
• Developer-operated cloud services

Data Backup

Task data is intentionally excluded from Android's automatic backup and device transfer mechanisms.

If you uninstall the application or change devices without manually exporting your data (if such functionality becomes available), your task data may not be recoverable.

Children's Privacy

MyTask does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy
